Q: What’s the deal?

A: With the recent passage of Charlottesville’s new zoning ordinance, homeowners will now be able to build up to three units on their properties.

The Housing Collective can build them for you! Our system is a streamlined installation of pre-built units that take just a few weeks to install. THC incurs all of the costs in building and managing the unit. You will have no out-of-pocket expenses.

Q: What do the units look like?

A: Each of the units would be:

• 3-story townhouses with 3 bedrooms;

• Approximately 14 feet wide by 40 feet long;

• Connected to their own water, sewer, and electric service.
